Recycling is the basic solution for modern waste management.
Recycling is the basic solution for modern waste management. Recyclable materials come from many sources, including the home, public services, and industries.
They include glass, paper, aluminium and other metals, such as copper and iron, asphalt, textiles, and plastics. Electrical and electronic devices must be recycled, because disposing of them in landfills not only burdens the environment, but also damages our health.
TO PROPERLY RECYCLE PACKAGING
- We separate packaging materials from the rest of our household waste daily.
- We thoroughly empty our packaging of any residue.
- We fold cardboard boxes.
- We don’t put packaging materials in plastic bags to throw them in the bin – we throw them in loose/unpackaged.
- We never put non-recyclable waste in the blue recycling bins.
